Curlers from all over the province have converged on Kipling for the SHSAA Provincial High School Boys’ Curling Playdowns.
This week’s announcement by the Province of more dollars for recruiting and retaining health care professionals, is welcome news to rural health regions.
The $25 million added to the recruitment and retention fund brings the available resources to $250 million over the next three years.
Saskatchewan Health continues to follow through on its commitment to ensure the province has the right number of health care workers to meet the needs of residents.
The province held a health human resource planning conference Tuesday in Regina, bringing together health partners to review progress of Saskatchewan’s Health Workforce Action Plan key goals, released in December 2005.
Saskatchewan Agriculture and Food Minister Mark Wartman has announced details of the 2007 Crop Insurance program, which will see a significant increase in coverage for Saskatchewan producers.
“The 2007 Crop Insurance program has been improved and enhanced in many ways, including the introduction of a Variable Price Option, refinements to the Unseeded Acreage feature, and the introduction of a Wild Rice Insurance Pilot Program,” Wartman said. “With this year’s program, Saskatchewan Crop Insurance continues its commitment to developing and delivering insurance products and services that meet the needs of Saskatchewan’s diverse agriculture industry.”

A new drug treatment court in Regina is putting healing before handcuffs in an attempt to change the harmful lifestyles of some offenders. What makes the court unique is that offenders can choose to undergo addiction treatment and counseling for about a year before being sentenced.

Kipling Parks and Recreation is hosting a Laughter Yoga Workshop on Thursday, March 8th at the Kipling High School. This 3-hour workshop begins at 7:00 p.m. in the Kipling School Library.
