Tonight when families gather around the dinner table for their meal, it’s likely most of the food on the plates travelled approximately 1,500 miles. That’s a long way just for one meal. Take into account all the pollution it causes combined with the fact that food may not remain as fresh as one would like and eating that meal may not seem so appetizing.

I am woman, here me roar!
I’ve never felt more empowered as a woman than last week when I took a load of garbage to the dump. This may seem like a fairly mundane task, but the very fact that my boyfriend and his friends are always in charge of this, I felt somewhat proud to finally have my turn.

A group of Russian toured Johnson Livestock Angus Farm to see what sort of Angus cattle the farm had to offer.

A Russian group visiting Canada for the Farm Progress Show, which took place in Regina from June 18 - 20, took a bit of a detour on June 19 in order to take a look at Johnson Livestock Angus Farm. The group also enjoyed a lunch prepared by Anne and David Johnson, owners of the Peebles farm.

Looking at the Bekevar Church from the gravel road, one would expect that there may not be that much to look at inside. But, as the door was opened, all ideas were changed. There is a true beauty in the church, from the handcrafted pews to the wooden floors and the many historical pictures that hang above the entrance.

Cody Floyd may look like your average 13 year-old boy, but hiding under his cowboy hat is a bull-riding champ. Cody is an amateur bull rider, of 2+ years, who has competed in the CCA (Sask.), MRCA (MB.), High School Division, Kennedy Rodeo, to name a few, and will continue to compete in so much more.
