Dr. Karleen (Gerard Hengen) holds Dorothea Melnik (Carmelita Krull) at bay from the unwanted advances that she is so willing to give.
By: Darcie ThomThe evening was full of ‘crazy’events and scripted love, something that could have been part of a best selling romance novel to ever reach the shelves of a book store, or at least that’s what the audience was brought to believe through a note of excitement by the actors.
‘Meanwhile Back On The Couch’, produced by special arrangement with Samuel French Inc. and performed by the Windthorst Little Theatre under the direction of Yvonne Hengen, indulged the audience with twists and turns of the ‘appealing’ lifestyle of a psychiatrist, his fiancé, publisher, and his many guests throughout a two-day fiasco of love, drama and laughter.

Several tables were organized throughout the gymnasium with Christmas gift ideas like wooden crafts for the garden, wall décor and seasonal decoration. Numerous tables of homemade jewellery and costume jewelry were spread out throughout the school gym. Tables of spices and baking goods provided people of either great cooking talent or people who needed the added flavor and freshly baked items. Children’s toys and books were made available for the attending minors.
Hungry visitors were attracted to the aroma of brewing soup and sandwiches which was prepared and served by the Montmartre Army Cadets. Craft Fair goers also had many chances to win a variety of door prizes.

Recently, I stated to the world (or at least where The Citizen goes) that Fall is one of my favorite seasons, but it never stays long enough because winter is always right around the corner, which might not always be a bad thing….
The time has come to start to form a new school board and division. It is very apparent that our present board (Prairie Valley School Division) is completely out of wack with you the taxpayer. More monies than ever are going into their pockets and not into educating the children. The monies they have spent on their own, for shops, offices and the hiring of more office workers and at the same time cutting schools, cutting teachers, taking busses away and trying to do things in a big way without any consultation from you the taxpayer. It is time to have a new beginning - a new start.

The Kipling and District Lions Club have been raising some eyebrows with some of the past and present issues that are taking bay at some of our very own doorsteps as well as overseas and in locations of poverty and despair.
The Kipling and District Lions Club takes great pride as everyday heroes to the millions of people in need of vision care, youth programs, disaster relief and local projects (to name a few), which protects and provides people in need with countless programs and charitable donations to help them better their situations.

It started as a seemingly normal evening - a night that my kids were tucked in and off to dreamland, a night like any other… it was laundry night!
I have a tendency to wash the laundry at night, while I sit and think creative thoughts and catch up on any T.V. and hot chocolate that I may have missed out on for that week. Except that this night, I decided to wash some of the decorative bed pillows and blankets, something that has to be done at some point or another!

A better match couldn’t have possibly been made when choosing student exchange partners for the Kipling High School. Provinces apart and a slight language barrier couldn’t keep two students from finding their similarities in each other.
Kipling’s own Natasha Ku, a grade 11 student at the Kipling High School, was partnered up with Victoriaville, Quebec resident Roxanne Dupont, a secondary five student (equivalent to grade 12) at Polyvalante Le tantem-Boise through the student exchange program.

Stewart and Connie Dayle of Langbank win 2nd prize in the Hospitals of Regina Foundation Lifestyles Lottery.

Winning the second grand prize in the Annual Hospitals of Regina Foundation Lifestyles Lottery was not something that Connie and Stewart Dayle were expecting to hear, especially from a member of the family.
Following a full day of work in her place of business, rightfully named Connie’s Salon, Mrs. Dayle dropped by her mother and father-in-law’s house to routinely drop off their mail and received some surprising news from an unlikely source. Her mother-in-law heard Connie come into the house and ran to her shouting ‘you won!’, something that she was not expecting to hear that day, especially considering that she won off a $100.00 ticket.

Christmas is the time of the year when friends and family gather together to celebrate the gift of giving, a time for cheer. There is nothing more pleasant than seeing the excitement in a child’s eyes on Christmas morning when they see the gifts under the decorated tree. Unfortunately, there are children who wake on Christmas morning who don’t have the advantage to experience a decorated tree with their name on the nametags, which are attached to presents.
