Residents and rink users are reminded to check the Kitchen List (received in the mail last fall) for their weeks operating the Arena Kitchen. Did you know that Health Canada recommends that youth get 60-90 minutes of physical activity most days of the week? 73% of Saskatchewan youth are not getting enough physical activity to achieve optimal health benefits according to Federal Health Guidelines. Physical activity helps you up your energy and lower your stress level. Being active also helps you maintain a healthy body weight and increases your concentration and focus. Besides all that, it’s fun!
Kipling Parks and Recreation will be hosting Frigid Fun – a sport clinic for youth on Wednesday, February 21st from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. The clinic is open to males and females 11-15 years of age, who will experience a full day of Basketball instruction and games. As Kipling School does not currently offer a formal basketball program, this is a great opportunity to receive first class instruction from a certified instructor, an awesome t-shirt and perhaps a beginning to future programming. The fee for Frigid Fun is $10/participant. For more information or to register, contact Susan at the Rec. Office 736-8440. Register soon, as space is limited! Frigid Fun is one of the many programs offered through South East Saskatchewan Association for Culture, Recreation & Sport Inc.
Is there an activity that you would like to try? All requests are welcome!
