Father’s note: I, like you, thought Nolan’s reports from the set were done. However, the L.A. bug may not have hooked him, yet, but the writing bug has. He is going to stay on for a few extra days and will be forwarding more updates until his return.

Well, I am writing this volume in between my second last and last scenes of the movie. That’s right, by the time these words hit your brain I will be gone. From the set. Probably back home. So I guess the next article will not be entitled “On Set” but rather “ Unemployed, hard-working, 19-year-old male, looking for anything minimum wage or higher. Please forward all calls to my couch!”

After we finish shooting, I will have four days of sight-seeing time. Luckily enough, I have made some really good friends who have offered their places for me to stay. But, if all doesn’t work out, I’m sure my high school class will agree that I have enough practice bumming money to live on the street. Just jokes! Don’t worry Mom! I’m coming home.

While staying my stay in L.A., I have made an adaptation to the habitat. Just the other day it was about 20 degrees Celsius and I was complaining that it was cold! I know, big strong Saskatchewan boy can’t even take the chills of the ocean breeze. I guess that coming home might not be that warm, but the hearts of my friends and family should keep me toasty. Emotionally. I’ll still freeze my @#$% off!

Once again, thank you all so much for your support. I will see you anytime after the 1st of March and we can chat in person instead of through letters. I hope you enjoyed staying in L.A. with me and seeing the movie through my eyes. And I guess (the apple doesn’t fall far) the best way to say it is, “Where the way is dark and the night is cold, one sunny mornin’ we’ll rise, I know, and I’ll meet you further on up the road.” - Johnny Cash.

See you when I see you.

Nolan G.L. Hubbard
