Jeanne Hunter of Corning, whose son Derek is a carpenter with one of the Rolling Stones’stage assembly crews (red stage) had an insider’s look at the process of constructing the nine-storey tall, 200-foot wide stage prior to last weekend’s performances in Regina.
Here, we have Chris Balogh (left) and Derek Hunter on the grounds before the Rolling Stones concert in Regina. Chris (from Kipling) is one of three site co-ordinators for the Rolling Stones and arrived in Regina after the show in Louisville, Kentucky at Churchill Downs Sept. 12. Ater the Regina show Chris headed for Seattle to coordinate the set up there for the Stones concert October 17. Derek (from Corning) came to Regina from Louisville via Wichita, Kansas and Missoula, Montana and headed to the show in Chicago October 11. From there he will join Chris’ crew again in Seattle.
