A regular meeting of the Council of the Town of Kipling was held December 11, 206 in Council Chambers.

Mayor Kevin Hassler presided over the meeting, with Aldermen Duane Leicht, Mark Olson, Darren Szakacs, Kevin Kish, and Max Krescy and Administrator Gail Dakue in attendance.

Sgt. Gord Stewart presented his report to Council for the month of November 2006.

CDO, Loretta Demyen presented her report to Council, as did Town Foreman, Kelly Kish.

The bank reconciliation and financial statement for the month of November were accepted. Accounts in the amount of $66,300.78 were approved for payment.

The Administrator’s report was accepted and filed.

Council voted to amend Bylaw 4-94 by inserting a Film category business license of one hundred dollars.

The CDO Office Clerk position is to be increased from one day to two days per week.

The following correspondence was dealt with: RCWRA Meeting Minutes/Budget; Tera Enviromental Consultants.

Council appointed Patricia Jackson as the Town Representative to the MMCRDC for 2007.

The Town will waive the hall rental for the Kipling & District Lions Club dinner theatre, December 1.

The Southeast Regional Library Levy for the year 2007 was accepted.

The following outdated bylaws be hereby repealed: Bylaw 6-92, 4-2000, 1-2003, 1-2002, 2-1999, 1-1999, 1-1997, 1-1984 and 1-1994.

The Town will pay the road maintenance bill to the R.M. of Kingsley as per agreement.

Regular council meetings will be held the second Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers.

The Town will re-submit its Traffic Bylaw 10-2005 for approval, having made the changes as requested by Prairie Valley School Division and Highway Traffic Board.
