Kipling’s Canskate group held its Achievement Day, Saturday, Feb. 17. Each of the three youngest groups, Beginners, Intermediate and Powerskaters, put on a demonstration of what they have been learning during the season.
Folllowing these skills demonstrations, they performed to three creative expression and action songs: The Cancan, The Freeze and The Macarena.
Next came a hockey-style scrimmage, featuring the powerskaters.
The Achievement Day was not necessarily the season finale for the youngsters. The demonstrations were put on due to the uncertainty of available ice time.
