Kennedy-Lankbank students take part in Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program.

On Tuesday March 6, 22 grade five and six students from Kennedy-Lankbank School graduated from the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program, taught by Constable Kelly Guider, and sponsored by the Kennedy and District Lions Club.

D.A.R.E. is a joint effort between the school and police to provide education on how to deal with situations involving tobacco, alcohol, and marijuana use. They were taught the facts of drugs, the consequences that they come with, and the effects they can have on your life.

Several students from the class shared the essay they had wrote on what they had learned about in D.A.R.E., as well as presented short skits on how dealing with a situation involving the use of drugs could be approached.

All the graduates were then presented with a certificate and T-shirt to show their completion of the program.

This years KLS D.A.R.E graduates are: Austin Bengtson, Karrisa Bertalon, Joel Bruce, Zachary Cummins, Trevor Dube, Julie Duke, Michaela Giroux, Roxanne Harrison, Tyson McDougall, Brandon Munro, Rosie Shick, Herbie Tait, Jacey Tarr, Gabrielle Dube, Bayley Duke, Mackenzie Easton, Brooke Hourd, Todd McDougall, Alyssa Panteluk, Logan Schmidt, Brody Stutt and Jacob Teslia.
