Submitted by Kelly BeattieA letter of intent has been submitted to the Ministry of Early Learning and Child Care identifying the committee’s desire to develop a child care centre within the Kipling area. The letter requests consideration for licencing and funding assistance for startup and operations. Will await their response.
Members of the committee are currently evaluating potential locations for the child care centre taking into consideration requirements for space and logistics.
Next steps are to secure funds to purchase a building and develop the space. Funds are required for the initial development and setup. It is expected that once open, the centre will be self sufficient in operations. A preliminary budget is being developed to determine how much is required for initial start up.
It is imperative that individuals come forward to help with this initiative - it is a big project and help is needed! Anyone able to assist in this important development can call: Kelly Beattie 736-2718 or Dan Manns 736-8219
