Minor Ball is in full swing in Kipling! Thank you to Gayle Knutson for creating an online calendar for all Kipling Minor Ball schedules. The public can access all of Kipling’s home games at www.canadianbookclubs.com/kmb/calendar , as well as the schedule of umpires for each game. Kipling is most fortunate to have a multitude of teams this year - hats off to all of the volunteer coaches and assistants that make baseball and softball happen in our community!
Work is actively being done to prepare the Kipling & District Swimming Pool for the 2008 season. The pool has underwent a process of sandblasting of the many layers of old paint and will be covered in new paint this month, with a target opening date of June 1st (weather cooperating). Thank you to John Maher of Kipling for his generous assistance in donating his time and equipment in changing the sand filters at the Kipling Swimming Pool. Registration for Swimming Lessons will be held on Wednesday, May 21 at 6:00 p.m. in the Kipling High School. Registration forms can be picked up at the Kipling School, Kipling & District Swimming Pool, or Kipling Parks and Recreation Office. If you cannot attend the registration night, please call the Kipling Swimming Pool at 736-2707 to register your children for the 2008 season. The Annual Meeting of the Kipling Swimming Pool Committee will follow registration at 7:30 p.m.
