To the Editor:

I was really surprised to see that the council of the town of Kipling took the risk of bidding on Scott MacDonald’s change of name to Kipling, to the tune of $37,373.73!!

I think the town has enough on its plate trying to enlist sufficient funds for the Kipling Film Production Co. in order to have the movie, “3 Day Test” filmed here in Kipling.

It is to be hoped that the Council’s bid is not accepted. I am of the opinion that it wouldn’t really benefit Kipling that much.

Hey, we’re already ‘on the map,’ and the film project will continue to benefit our town, should it become a reality.
