August 30 Bev and Bill Tosh, Calgary, Alberta visited with Lydia Cross.
Bev Tosh is an artist of note, who for 20 years has exhibited her paintings in Canada and abroad. Her works can be found in public, private and corporate collections worldwide, and she has received numerous awards for her works.
From mid-1980s she taught at the University of Calgary and the Alberta College of Art and Design. She now works full-time researching and painting “One-Way Passage”, an exhibition about World War II war brides.
Her visit with Lydia was in part to bring her a booklet which explains the exhibition and its objectives. Its cover features a photograph of several paintings in the exhibition, including one of Lydia in her wedding gown.
