Elden Gibson, member of the Lions Club, and Officer Kelly, Kipling RCMP, visited the Kipling Elementary School to celebrate the Canadian Flag on Monday, June 2nd. Officer Kelly read the Grade 1 class a poetic and informational short story about the flag called “I Am Your Flag”. The students had the opportunity to talk with Officer Kelly and Mr. Gibson about the importance of our country and the flag that represents it.

The students were given a flag and a certificate that described the diversity of our country and the pride we have in being Canadian.

Over 40,000 flags and certificates are given across Canada every year.
