As most of you already know, Kennedy-Langbank School has been placed under review for possible closure by the Prairie Valley School Division.
During the months of January and February, the PVSD will be conducting public meetings in the various communities slated for possible closure. The meeting for Kennedy-Langbank has been set for Monday, January 29, 2007 (exact time TBA) and will be run in a question-and-answer format.
As a local board, we feel that it is imperative for us, as a community, to be very organized and concise as we present our case for our school at this meeting. Therefore, we will be having our own open community meeting on Monday, January 15 at 7 p.m. at the school, to constructively discuss what we as a community hope to see for the future of our school. It is our intention to decide at this meeting what questions, concerns and comments will be presented at the PVSD public meeting and how we can do so in the most effective and positive manner.
If you are concerned about the future of our school and community, please plan to attend on January 15 and come prepared to work together constructively to present our school as a valuable, viable, successful and necessary part of our community. Your positive input and ideas are crucial to the success of this meeting and we thank you in advance for your anticipated support and participation.
