This past weekend the Kipling School senior boys curling team played host to the Prairie Valley School Division district curling playoffs.

Sixteen teams were in competition for two spots in the SHSAA provincial competition which is to take place in Kipling on March 1, 2, and 3.

The teams from Kelliher and Indian Head schools emerged as the qualifiers.

The representatives of the other school divisions have yet to be announced.

Some excellent games were played at the district playoffs and were just a slight preview of what is yet to come.

Winners from each school division throughout the province will join the Kipling team in a race for the Saskatchewan High School Athletic Association Curling Provincial Championship.

Make sure to come cheer on the boys and check out some great curling action. Good luck to all the curlers!
