Medieval Feast King, Queen candidates named - Let the fun begin!

Candidates for the Medieval Feast King and Queen Contest sponsored by the Kipling and District Lions Club have now been selected. Ballots will be distributed shortly by way of color-coded tickets valued at $1.00 each. Tickets can be purchased from each one the candidates or their helpers. The candidate with the most tickets sold prior to the cut-off date will be crowned King and Queen as part of the opening ceremonies. The Medieval Feast will be held Saturday March 10th at the Kipling Community Centre.

Candidates for Queen are Christina Weeding, Nicole Lyons and Jill Dorrance.

Candidates for King are Kelly Guider, Duane Leicht and Tye Cancade.

Runners-up in the King and Queen contest will form part of the Royal Party to assist the King and Queen with their “duties” as the official hosts throughout the evening.

All purchasers of tickets for the candidates will have their names placed in a draw drum for prize draws.

Tickets for the Medieval Feast will be available this coming week. Please watch for distribution outlets in next week’s Citizen. Ticket price is $12.50 each or $25.00 per couple. There will only be 150 tickets sold and attendance is restricted to 19 year of age and over.

This is a fun night. We encourage you to come in costume, otherwise casual dress. There will be numerous prizes throughout the evening and planned entertainment for your enjoyment.
