Youth from all around gathered to listen, learn and watch at the Kipling School Gym as Refined/Undignified put on a show for the Youth Groups in the surrounding areas, and they also included some workshops and drama. After watching some of the show I would have to say, WOW. Not only was it entertaining, it was a wonderful idea.
Refined/Undignified is a Hip Hop dance group of 10 dancers and 3 managers from Brier Crest College Dance Ministry Team. They travel all over showing youth that God is the only constant in ones life. They use their ‘gift to dance’ as a way to reach out to the youth. They let them know that they have too been through hard times, they too know the influences that surround us, and they have found that God is the way to turn. Not only have they performed in many placed throughout the province, but they have also been to churches and other places in London to perform and to Creation Fest, which is a Christian Music Festival.
After their show in Kipling, they gave the youth open time to learn to dance Hip Hop or to just talk if they need. They wanted to let the youth know they are not alone and they were there to listen.
