Our apologies to a comment made in the April 5 paper in the SARCAN story. It is not a volunteer based program. The assistants are paid a training allowance for the very worthwhile positions they take pride in.
Further, our apologies to Brendan Gall and Kathy Savage whose names were left out of the story. Gall assists with orwacking as well as other jobs around SARCAN. Savage covers a job whenever someone is off sick or on vacation.
On another note, SARCAN in Kipling is a special case because they are the only SARCAN with assistants. The Kipling SARCAN has assistants because they were once affiliated with Red Coat.
