Albert Oliver Rygh passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at the Pasqua Hospital, Regina, SK at the age of 95 years.
Albert was born at Kipling, SK on May 7, 1911. He married Hedwig Voelpel on October 16, 1937. They farmed in the Kipling district until 1974, when they moved to Regina.
Albert continued to be active in farming for a number of years, helping his sons farm at Kipling. He also helped on farms in the Regina and Drinkwater areas.
Albert was predeceased by his wife, Hedwig who passed away on July 6, 2006; his parents; five sisters; two brothers; and a daughter-in-law.
Albert is survived by his children, Ross Rygh (Sidney, BC), Elaine (Lyle) Bradley (Canmore, AB), Lorne (Roberta) Rygh (Kipling, SK), Beverly (John) Hudson (Regina, SK); nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Albert’s memory may be made to the Kipling Disrict Health Foundation Inc., Box 989, Kipling, SK S0G 2S0, or a charity of choice.
A special thank you to the staff at Ultimate Care Home, Regina, SK and to the staff on 3D and 4B at the Regina Pasqua Hospital. No funeral will be held by Albert’s request. A private family service will be held at a later date.
