Elisa LaRonge born July 10, 1916, Willowdale Lodge, Kipling, Sask. and formerly of Kennedy, Sask. died on Tuesday, October 24, 2006, at the age of 90 years. The funeral mass was celebrated in St. Ann’s R.C. Church, Kennedy, Sask. on Saturday, October 28, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. by Rev. Joseph Strohhofer. Interment in St. Ann’s Parish Cemetery. Prayers were held in the Church Friday evening at 7:30. The casket bearers were: Randy Cameron, Elgin Cameron, Murray Bertalon, Gary Domes, Darin Domes, Kevin Margetts, Keith Margetts, Larry Debenham, Wayne LaRonge, Robert LaRonge, Ross LaRonge and Brian Cummins.
Elisa was predeceased by her husband Bob in 1980; her parents August and Ferdnande Chanut; one brother Gabriel Chanut; one sister Mary (Fred) Butters; two brothers-in-law Nap LaRonge and John (Elizabeth) Cloarec; one sister-in-law Juliette LaRonge; one grandson Rob Sevill in 2003; two grandchildren Phyllis Domes and Brent Margetts and two great grandchildren Victoria Cameron and Francis Bertalon in infancy. She is survived by three sons: Fred LaRonge, Willowdale Lodge, (Enid) LaRonge, Kennedy, Joe (Joan) LaRonge, Whitewood, Sask. and Emile (Eileen) LaRonge, Regina Beach, Sask.; six daughters: Rose Marie (Bud) Cameron, Fernie, B.C., Yvonne (Frank) Bertalon, Kennedy, Dorothy (George) Domes, Yellow Grass, Sask., Anita (Ralph) Margetts, Moosomin, Sask., Margaret (Earl) Debenham, Kennedy and Faye (Charlie) Cummins, Bentley, A.B.; twenty-three grandchildren; thirty-seven great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law Doreen (George) Cancade, Kennedy and Anne LaRonge, Wawota, Sask. and also her nieces and nephews.
The funeral arrangements were entrusted to Keith Hawken of Tubman Cremation and Funeral Services.
