Arnold Aron Daku, Kipling, Sask., passed on to be with the Lord with his loving wife of 45 years and his family at his side on Saturday, December 16, 2006 at the age of 70 years. The funeral service was held in Bekevar Presbyterian Church, Kipling, Sask., on Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Chris Toth, Rev. Richard Barta and Rev. Ron Weibe officiating. Interment in the Bekevar Presbyterian Cemetery. The casket bearers were: Richard Daku, Ivan Daku, Russell Daku, Garth Szakacs, Bill Berkes and Michael Elek. Honorary attendants were: Willie Elek, Louis Elek, Andy Elek, Gary Elek, Dennis Daku, Ben Szakacs and Andrew Szakacs.

Arnold was predeceased by his parents Louis and Helen Daku; brother Willie and sisters: Velma Elek, Olga Szakacs and Helen Elek. He is survived by is loving wife Anne; son Garth (Janice) Daku and their son, Jayson, of Kipling; his daughters Tina (Frank) Beke, and their daughters, Rachel and Shailene, of Regina and Teresa of Kipling; one brother Louis (Tillie) Daku; two sisters Lena Berkes and Lillian Vargo as well as his brothers-inlaw, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Arnold will be remembered by all for his love and compassion for others, and his music will live on in the lives of many forever.

The funeral arrangements were entrusted to Michael Rey of Tubman Cremation and Funeral Services.
