Helmunt “Herman” Peter was born on August 21, 1908 in Russia and passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at Regina Lutheran Home. Herman and his wife, Rose immigrated to Canada in the spring of 1929. Herman farmed in the Kipling area throughout his life and moved to Regina in 1956, maintaining an avid interest in the farm until his passing. He was predeceased by his wife, Rose on June 27, 2001. Herman will be lovingly remembered by his 5 children, Alice Chuback of Saskatoon, SK, Martin (Adina) of Regina, SK, Alvin (Marlis) of Saskatoon, SK, Irene DeLaforest of Irrecana, AB and Louise (Tony) Pietroveto of Calgary, AB; 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Funeral Service was held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, January 22, 2007 from Regina Lutheran Home, 1925 – 5th Ave. N., Regina, SK with Pastor Dennis Fingas officiating. Interment followed in Regina Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations in Herman’s memory may be made to the Regina Lutheran Home, 1925 – 5th Ave. N., Regina, SK, S4R 7W1 or to a Charity of One’s Choice.
