Roy (Mac) LaRose, formerly of Corning, Sask., passed away peacefully at Tatagwa View, Weyburn, Sask., on Saturday, December 30, 2006 at the age of 85 years. The funeral service was held in Corning Memorial Hall, Corning, Sask., on Friday, January 5th, 2007 at 2:00 p.m., with Lynette Callfas officiating. Mac was laid to rest in the family plot in Windthorst Cemetery. The casket bearers were: Norman Doucette, Lisa LaRose Junek, Kelly Brophy, Jeff LaRose, Donnie McKay and Gerry Olver.

Mac will be lovingly remembered by his wife Ethel; daughters Mary Jane Gentes and her husband, Norman (Corning) and Linda LaRose and her husband Barry Polowick (Calgary); grandchildren: Michael Gentes (Lynne), Debbie Adams (Dwight), Donna Gentes (Chris Fohr) and Chris Polowick; great grandchildren: Mikayla Gentes, Rachelle, James, Josh and Courtney Adams, and Raelynn and Justin Fohr; brother Orin (Denise); sister Adrienne Czeto (Charlie); brother-in-law Dale Spearing; numerous nieces and nephews; Ethel’s children: George Stein (children Barbara and Kevin); Jackie Wyatt (daughter Adele), Doug Johnston (Donna and children Kerry and Jarrod) and Don Johnston (Anne and children Jason and Dale) and sisters-in-law Pearl Northam, Irene Banks and Marie Morgan. He was predeceased by an infant brother; his parents Roy and Ella; grandson Mark Gentes and his sisters Jane Doucette (Stan), Audrey Bodinsky (Lloyd) and Frances Spearing.

The funeral arrangements were entrusted to Keith Hawken of Tubman Cremation and Funeral Services.
