Jim Hutch Hutchison, Kipling, Sask, died suddenly on Monday, May 5, 2008, at the age of 69 years. The funeral service was held in the Kipling Community Hall, Kipling, Sask., on Friday, May 9, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Ron Sutton officiating. Interment in the Hazelwood Cemetery. The eulogy was given by Lori Hutchison-Hunter and the casket bearers were: Riley Levai, Chase Levai, Sheldon Slykhuis, Braden Embury, Justin Lawrence and Jason Hourd.
Jim was born on December 11, 1938 at Kinley, Sask. where he spent his early years and attended school. He started his long successful career in Saskatoon stocking parts, working the parts counter and finally sales with Bowman Brothers, Acklands, Wix & Hayes Dana Corp. In 1999 Jim and Carol moved to Kipling and Jim started his own business - Kip Enterprises. He was proud of his customer service and thrived on getting new business and making new friends as he always had time to visit with everyone. He knew all his customers names, their wives name and took an interest in their families.
Jim was very proud of the people he loved and shared their successes with his customers and friends as he shared stories of them with his family.
Jim loved our dog Brandy, they traveled many miles together, they stopped many times along the road to admire all the beauties of nature. He was very pleased to see the return of the purple martins to his martin house on May 3.
Jim was a member of the Masons, Shriners, ACT/UCT and the Lions.
Jim will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, thoughtfulness and his sense of humor. He had a “BIG HEART”.
Jim was predeceased by his son Clint and his parents Ross and Clara Hutchison. Left to celebrate his life are his sweetheart and best friend Carol Jaster and Brandi; his daughters Lori Hutchison-Hunter (Gord) and Loni Longclaws; son Cline; nine granddaughters including his special girls, Nikki and Ashleigh; his brother Robert (Gwen) Hutchison as well as his nieces, nephews and more friends and associates than anyone could imagine.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Kipling Health Foundation, Box 989, Kipling, Sask. S0G 2S0.
The arrangements were entrusted to Michael Rey of Tubman Cremation and Funeral Services.
