On Wednesday, July 23, 2008, Doreen Scott, widow of Harry Scott, Glenavon, Sask., died at the age of 89 years. The funeral service was held in St. Andrew’s United Church, Glenavon, Sask., on Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with Lynette Callfas officiating. Cremation with interment in the Glenavon Cemetery. The urn bearers were Linda Scott and Marlene Wood.
Doreen was predeceased by her husband Harry in 1995; her parents Albert and Dora Brewitt; her stepmother Laura Brewitt; four brothers: Richard Cox, Tommy, Raymond and Bert Brewitt and three sisters: Connie Prior, Betty Casey and Myrtle Prior. She is survived by two daughters and two sons: Marlene (Clifford) Wood, Corning, Sask., Linda Scott, Regina, Sask., Jim (Margaret) Scott, Glenavon, Sask. and Lloyd Scott, Regina, Sask.; eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; one great great grandson; one brother Billy Warner; three half sisters: Peg (Sandy) Sandbeck, Regina, Sask., Queen (Jim) McMillan, Regina, Sask. and Shirley Harris, Toledo, Ohio as well as her nieces and nephews.
The arrangements were entrusted to Keith Hawken of Tubman Cremation and Funeral Services.
