On Friday, July 18, 2008, Sharon Eloise Olson (Damm) of Kipling passed away peacefully at home at the age of 69 years, finally losing her courageous battle with C.O.P.D. The funeral service was held in Christ Lutheran Church, 417 3rd Street, Kipling on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Doug Miner officiating. Interment followed in Sintaluta Cemetery.  The urn bearers were Matthew Olson and Mackenzie Krecsy.

Sharon was born on November 2, 1938 in Grenfell third of four children born to John and Eloise Damm. She was predeceased by her mother in 1972; her father in 1996 and also her brother Dave in 2002. She is survived by her son Darren (Kathy) Olson of Wawota; her daughter Shelley (Max) Krecsy of Kipling; three grandchildren: Kristen (Jennifer) Olson of Edmonton, Matthew Olson of Saskatoon and Mackenzie Krecsy of Kipling; sister June Ashfield of Grenfell; brother Robert (Pat) Damm of LeRoy; sister-in-law Rose Damm of Indian Head as well as her nieces and nephews, family member and good friends.

The arrangements were entrusted to Keith Hawken of Tubman Cremation and Funeral Services.
