Lloyd White, beloved husband of Margaret White, Kipling, Sask and formerly of Airdrie, Alberta passed away on Friday, August 1, 2008 at the age of 92 years. A family graveside service was held on Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in Lansdowne Memorial Gardens, Kipling, Sask. with Rev. Barbara Wilkins officiating.

Lloyd served with the Royal Canadian Air Force for four years and was stationed overseas during World War II for three years. The Royal Canadian Legion was important to Lloyd as he spent many hours playing pool and crib with friends during his retirement. He was a member of the United Church for all of his life. Lloyd was an avid golfer and curler. He enjoyed watching all sports and was a dedicated Roughrider fan. Lloyd spent countless hours playing football and baseball with his sons and their friends. He attended every ball game, school play, dance recital and swimming lessons his grandchildren participated in. Family was very important to him and he will be missed by us all.

Lloyd was predeceased by one son Vernon White in 1949; parents William and Hosie White; one brother Bruce White and two sisters Estella Ramsay and Mabel White in childhood. He is survived by his wife Margaret; two sons Dennis (Donna) White, Westrose, Alberta and Glen (Mary) White, Kenosee Lake; six grandchildren: Jim, Serena (James), Nicole, Danielle, Kaley (Fiancee Jordan) and Keegan; one sister Hazel Balog, Summerland B.C. and also his nieces and nephews.

The arrangements were entrusted to Keith Hawken of Tubman Cremation and Funeral Services.
