Mary Jean (Kearns) Uhrich, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 21, 2008 at Willowdale Lodge, Kipling, Sk. at the age of 82 years. The funeral service was held on Monday, August 25, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Zion Lutheran Church, north of Windthorst with Rev. Sang Rog Choi officiating.  Interment of cremated remains followed in the Windthorst Cemetery.  The urn bearer was Bert Uhrich.

Jean was predeceased by her parents Mike and Annie (Lamb) Kearns; first husband of 28 years, Arthur Biesenthal and all of his siblings; her husband of 24 years, Harold Uhrich and all of his siblings; her sister and brother-in-law: Teresa (Kearns) and Bill Hauk; special nieces and nephew Terry Biesenthal, Dorothy Macfarlane and Donalda Hauk. Jean is survived by sisters-in-law Elda Biesenthal, Muriel Uhrich and Elsie Uhrick; and the children of Bill and Teresa Hauk; Arlene (Les) Clark and family, Valerie (Myron) Becker and family, Don (Judy) Hauk and family, Sharon (Fred) Sellars and family. The children of Ed and Alice (Biesenthal) Uhrich claim Jean as their double aunt; Carol (Dennis) Miller and family, Phil (Cyndi) Uhrich and family, Bert (Dalene) Uhrich and family, Larry Macfarlane and family. She is also survived by many Biesenthal/Uhrich cousins, nieces and nephews.
